Valerie Mendes

Valerie Helene Mendes is an English novelist and poet. She is recognized for her teenage fiction, including Girl in the Attic and The Drowning, as well as historical novels such as Larkswood and Beatrice and Alexander. In recent years, Mendes has expanded her bibliography to include the 2021 memoir Not Only But Also and the 2022 poetry collection The Gathering.
