Tina Modotti

Tina Modotti was an Italian-born photographer, model, and actor who emigrated to the United States in 1913. After working in theater and film in San Francisco and Los Angeles, she relocated to Mexico in 1922. There, she established herself as a photographer and essayist while serving as an active member of the Mexican Communist Party and a revolutionary political activist.
