Susan Vreeland

Susan Joyce Vreeland was an American novelist whose work frequently explored the intersection of art and fiction. Her bibliography includes The Passion of Artemisia, which examines the life of Artemisia Gentileschi, and Girl in Hyacinth Blue, a narrative centered on an imaginary Vermeer painting. She also authored The Forest Lover, a fictionalized account of the life of Canadian painter Emily Carr.
