Santiago Calatrava is a Spanish-Swiss architect, structural engineer, sculptor, and painter born in 1951. He is known for designing bridges, railway stations, and museums that feature sculptural forms resembling living organisms. His notable projects include the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Turning Torso in Sweden, and the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
