Rei Kawakubo

Rei Kawakubo is a Japanese fashion designer based in Tokyo and Paris. She is the founder of the fashion label Comme des Garçons and the retail concept Dover Street Market. In 2017, the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted a major exhibition of her work titled Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons, Art of the In-Between, which highlighted her significant contributions to the field of design.
