Rachel Carson

Rachel Louise Carson was an American marine biologist, writer, and conservationist. She began her professional career with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service before gaining widespread recognition for her writing. Her notable works include the sea trilogy, published between 1941 and 1955, and the 1962 book Silent Spring, both of which were instrumental in advancing the global environmental movement.
