Place Matters

City Lore is a New York-based organization founded in 1986 to document, preserve, and present urban folk culture. Through initiatives like Place Matters, the People's Poetry Project, and City of Memory, the group advocates for grassroots cultural expressions and produces diverse programming across the fields of history, education, and poetry.
