Michael Baxandall

Michael Baxandall was a British art historian and professor emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley. He held teaching positions at the Warburg Institute and served as a curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum. His influential work, Painting and Experience in Fifteenth-Century Italy, remains a widely used textbook in the field of art history.
