Matthias Doepke is a German economist who serves as a Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also holds the position of Gerald F. and Marjorie G. Fitzgerald Professor of Economic History at Northwestern University. His academic research encompasses the fields of economic growth, development, political economy, and monetary economics.
