Laura Cumming
Laura Cumming is a British journalist and art critic who has served as the art critic for The Observer since 1999. Her career includes previous roles at The Guardian, the New Statesman, and the BBC. She is the author of books on self-portraits and the history of Diego Velázquez, including the New York Times bestseller The Vanishing Man, which received the James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 2016.
