Josiah Ober

Josiah Ober is an American historian of ancient Greece and a classical political theorist. He serves as the Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis Professor at Stanford University and a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution. His academic work focuses on the intersection of ancient Greek history and philosophy with contemporary democratic theory and political practice.
