Joseph J. Ellis

Joseph J. Ellis is an American historian born in 1943 whose research focuses on the lives and times of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He is the author of several bestselling works, including American Sphinx: The Character of Thomas Jefferson, which received a National Book Award in 1997, and Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation, which was awarded the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for History.
