Janet Dees

Janet Dees is an American curator and art historian currently serving as the Assistant Director of Arts at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. An expert in African, African-American, and Spanish colonial art, she has previously held professional and research roles at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Rosenbach Museum and Library, and the Brooklyn Museum.
