Ilya Kabakov

Ilya Iosifovich Kabakov was a Ukrainian-American conceptual artist born in Dnipropetrovsk. He spent thirty years working in Moscow from the 1950s through the late 1980s before emigrating to the United States. Following his move, he lived and worked on Long Island. His diverse practice encompassed painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and draftsmanship.
