Gyan Prakash
Gyan Prakash is a historian of modern India and the Dayton-Stockton Professor of History at Princeton University. A member of the Subaltern Studies collective, he specializes in urban modernity, postcolonial theory, and the history of science. His published works include Mumbai Fables, which served as the basis for the 2015 film Bombay Velvet. He holds degrees from the University of Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and the University of Pennsylvania.
