George Maciunas

George Maciunas (1931–1978) was a Lithuanian American artist, art historian, and organizer who served as the founding member and central coordinator of Fluxus. He is recognized for his role in organizing early Fluxus happenings and festivals, as well as for his contributions to graphic art and the production of influential artists' multiples. His work spanned various disciplines, including architecture, painting, sculpture, and performance.
