Cecil Balmond

Cecil Balmond is a British Sri Lankan designer, artist, and writer who served as deputy chairman at Ove Arup & Partners. He founded the design and research group AGU in 2000 and currently holds the Paul Philippe Cret Chair at PennDesign. Throughout his career, he has held various academic appointments, including visiting professorships at Yale University and Harvard Graduate School of Architecture, while directing the Non Linear Systems Organization.
