Arte Povera

Arte Povera was an Italian art movement active from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. The term was coined by critic Germano Celant in 1967 to describe artists who adopted a radical stance against established cultural, industrial, and government institutions. While centered in Turin, the movement gained significant importance across major Italian cities including Milan, Rome, Genoa, Venice, Naples, and Bologna.
